Triple A Boomerang

Good morning from Anchorage, Alaska!!

Last Saturday I led worship for the Young Lives Ablaze conference in Albuquerque (which was totally awesome!) Thanks to Krista Parkinson and the New Mexico Baptist Convention for the incredible job they do of putting this event together!

Sunday night I flew here. We began our AWA clinics Monday afternoon in Wasilla with a record crowd! We had more people there that night than they normally have for the entire week of conferences combined! Thank You, Lord!! And thanks to my buddy, Jimmy Stewart for inviting and hosting me!!

Last night we were at FBC here in Anchorage and had another record attendance!! The highlight of the night for me was getting to meet two brothers, Mahau and Daniel, who were adopted from Kenya. Their mother served as a missionary there for 7 years and adopted the boys while she was there. When she first met them she said one of their most prized possessions was a “Boomerang Express” DVD which another missionary had given them 3 years ago. “BE” was LifeWay’s VBS curriculum in ’09. She said they watched it all the time and when she was able to complete the adoption process and bring them to the states, that was the first thing they grabbed to take with them!

Last night, Mahau and Daniel came to the clinic, walked up to me and asked me to sign their DVD. Once their mom told me the whole story, I was completely undone! To think that a VBS DVD based around Australia was carried from America to Africa and given to 2 little boys who held on to it and brought it back to America with them…then held it up to me to sign for them?…no words! And the complete title of that VBS program? “Boomerang Express: It All Comes Back To Jesus!” Last night, once again the Lord showed me that it ALL truly comes to Him and His great love for us! I immediately thought of one of the songs I had written for that VBS program…”This Is Why.” These are the lyrics of the chorus…

I pray that today the Lord will reveal to you in His own supernatural way that it all comes back to Him and His great love for you!!
