God Knows the Plans

Here I am with some of my Centri-Kid “BFF’s” at the Ridgecrest Conference Center right outside Asheville, NC.

I LOVE doing camp here! It’s so beautiful and hardly ever gets over 80 degrees!

One of the things we’re looking at with the kids this week is what calling God has for them in their lives.

As I look into their faces, I wonder whether I’m seeing a future firefighter who’ll one day be risking their life to keep people safe.

Jeff with new friends Dillin and Logan

Or maybe I’m talking to a future mom and homemaker who’ll raise her children to love the Lord and walk in His ways.

And one of the many awesome hugs I get each day may be from a future president of the United States!

Whatever it is, I’m glad I can play a part in encouraging them to pursue the passions the Lord has placed in their hearts! To not be afraid to do what they feel He has made them to do, but to realize He has already gone before them and made a way for them to accomplish His plans for their lives!!

I love your perspective. In all my years of working with kids and teens, I don’t think I’ve ever heard this put into words quite like this. I may have to post them where i can see them every day in my classroom. Thanks for the clarity!

AMEN, Jeff!!! May God continue to use you to blow on the flames that He’s ignited in the hearts of His children . . . all of us! Your passion is contagious. Keep up the great work! :-D

    Jeff,
I often have the same thoughts as I teach students at school. What an awesome gift that you have the opportunity to move these kids one step closer to God! Keep up the great work!

    Many hugs,
    Liz

My boys are on their way as I type to Ridgecrest for Centri-Kid camp. I can’t wait to see how God works in their lives this week. Tell Gabe, Isaac, and all their friends from Peninsula Baptist that they are loved and being prayed for.

Thanks so much for all you do for those kids – your new friend Dillin in the picture is my son – he had a wonderful time at CentriKid and is so excited to share about everything he did and learned while there! Keep up the great work!!
