Flat Creek Crew Gettin' Crazy!

Flat Creek Crew Gettin’ Crazy!

Soooo, I know it’s been a while since my last blog….so sorry!! (-: My week in Alaska was absolutely amazing!! SO beautiful!!

Since my last post I’ve led events at Flat Creek Baptist in Fayetteville, GA and this past weekend I was at Gilead Baptist in Glendale, KY. The Sunday morning service at Flat Creek revolved around the VBS theme of God’s awesome power and it was such a sweet, powerful time of worship! Thanks to my dear friend, Linda Baxter, for taking care of everything so well!!

This past Sunday as I walked up to Gilead Baptist, the first thing I noticed was the cornerstone that read “Organized 1824!” Incredible to think that the Lord has been ministering to people through that church for 188 years! Sam and Heather Hinkson have been friends of mine since 2007 when we met at a “Game Day Central” VBS Preview. Sam is the pastor and Heather directs VBS there. We had a VBS worship time that afternoon followed by a block party complete with inflatables and karaoke!

The Lord also had a huge surprise waiting for me there. When I walked in the sanctuary, the worship team was practicing and one of the guys singing smiled at me and I thought he looked kind of familiar. When they were done he came walking up to me and asked, “Do you remember me?” He said his name was Derrick Helm and he began to remind me of a Kentucky Changers (off-shoot of World Changers) event that we had met at 15 years ago when he was in high school. He is now 30 and married with 2 kids…and 1 on the way!! I was so blessed to see Him still serving the Lord so passionately!

Last Thursday I filmed the choreography videos for my new Christmas musical, “The Christmas Shoetree!” It was written in partnership with Brentwood-Benson Publishing and Soles4Souls. The shoot went GREAT!! The location was absolutely stunning! The picture below was taken by very talented good buddy, Mike Cowart. You can check out more of his work on his website: www.myrickstudios.com

I could feel the favor of the Lord over the whole day! If you’d like to check it out, the musical will be available in bookstores and online later this month.

Blessings on your day!!

We are looking forward to the musical and receiving the Lord’s blessings through it with the kids. God is surely pouring His love and favor over you, as you serve Him by serving others with ALL your heart! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
