Amazing Wonders

Hey everybody! I know it’s been a while since my last post. It’s been a wild and crazy couple of months, but I couldn’t let another week go by without sharing some amazing, miraculous God stories with you!

Most of you know that the VBS theme for this summer is “Amazing Wonders Aviation: Encountering God’s Awesome Power.” I loved this theme from the minute I heard it in the fall of 2010. I began traveling to promote it the first week of January, and I have been blown away with how the Lord has revealed His awesome power to me week after week!

Since the LifeWay VBSI/Preview events ended in February, I have led other events/clinics in Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Alabama, Ohio, Oklahoma, as well as here in Tennessee. My heart has been overwhelmed to see how the Lord has moved and blessed at each of these events! I felt Him speak to me about challenging people at my events to believe God for an amazing wonder they would like see come to pass in their own lives as they prepare for this summer’s VBS. A miracle they would believe God for and see Him accomplish that would become a testimony they could share during their week of VBS! Well, He’s already given me 2 HUGE testimonies to share!!

First, my Aunt Linda whom many of you have prayed for, has beaten stage 4 cancer twice! In January, she was diagnosed with 4 tumors in her brain. They performed gamma knife surgery to see if it would help, but they told her that she needed to go ahead and get her affairs in order. She’s heard doctors say that to her 2 other times and both times the Lord delivered, so she boldly believed He would do it again! Also, back in October my cousin, Lisa (my age) was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer throughout her abdominal area and lungs. I have prayed for them everyday totally believing that God was going to do an “Amazing Wonder” in both of their lives! I specifically prayed that the Lord would “dissipate” the tumors in my aunt’s brain. That was the word the Lord gave me to use when I prayed for her. A few weeks ago, Linda went back to have scans done and the doctor told her the tumors had “dissipated!’ That was the exact word he used! Praise the Lord!! Our family was ecstatic!! That just made us all buckle down harder and pray even more intensely for Lisa’s healing!! Well, a week ago, Monday, March 19th, was the 9 year anniversary of my daddy’s death. I was up early that morning praying and feeling the twinge of sadness from missing him and reliving that day. When I had finished my quiet time, I got a call from my cousin, Tammye telling me that Lisa had just finished having a PET scan and there was no sign of cancer! Instantly I was up and dancing around the room! Then I felt the Lord say, “I have redeemed this day for you! Now on March 19th, you’ll remember your daddy, but you’ll also remember this miracle!” HE is SO GOOD!!

I pray that these stories will be an encouragement to you today to believe for the BIG things!! NOTHING is too difficult for HIM!!!

Jeff! What an awesome set of testimony. Thank the Lord he is a faithful and loving God and those who have faith see his miracles.
I too have had two miracles this year. A long time friends daughter has been having some medical issues. The doctors were certain she would have to swallow the radiation pill and have chemo to put the Thyroid into a dorment stage. She took the die that is given 24 hours in advance and when she went for the tests the imaging center told her mom to expect a surgical procedure to clear up this issue. Well, friends and church family have prayed and when the tests were done….THERE WAS NOTHING THERE! It’s gone….puzzeled the doctors but we all know who handled that issue! Thank you Jesus!
Another issue effecting our church was a 9 year old little girl with a wonderful spirit and beautiful smile came out of remission of Leukemia about a month ago. She was very sick and going under chemo, and in need of a bone marrow match. Guess what……yes you guessed it…..God put her back in remission however she will still need the marrow but the fact that she is back in remission is awesome! So on the tail of your good news….this is the good news we have seen at our church so far in 2012.
Praise the Lord for looking after us.

    Jeff,
I am so sad that this is your last year with LIFEWAY VBS.
I know the Lord moves us to other things… and I honor that for you.

Selfishly, I couldn’t wait to see what music and motions you would come up with
each year for VBS. You really made it all come to life!
I will certainly miss that and you as you shared your heart
for how the Lord gave you the songs and the message and purpose that
    each song came with.
    You will be greatly missed!

    God’s best to you always!
