Amazing Wonders
Hey everybody! I know it’s been a while since my last post. It’s been a wild and crazy couple of months, but I couldn’t let another week go by without sharing some amazing, miraculous God stories with you!
Most of you know that the VBS theme for this summer is “Amazing Wonders Aviation: Encountering God’s Awesome Power.” I loved this theme from the minute I heard it in the fall of 2010. I began traveling to promote it the first week of January, and I have been blown away with how the Lord has revealed His awesome power to me week after week!
Since the LifeWay VBSI/Preview events ended in February, I have led other events/clinics in Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Alabama, Ohio, Oklahoma, as well as here in Tennessee. My heart has been overwhelmed to see how the Lord has moved and blessed at each of these events! I felt Him speak to me about challenging people at my events to believe God for an amazing wonder they would like see come to pass in their own lives as they prepare for this summer’s VBS. A miracle they would believe God for and see Him accomplish that would become a testimony they could share during their week of VBS! Well, He’s already given me 2 HUGE testimonies to share!!
First, my Aunt Linda whom many of you have prayed for, has beaten stage 4 cancer twice! In January, she was diagnosed with 4 tumors in her brain. They performed gamma knife surgery to see if it would help, but they told her that she needed to go ahead and get her affairs in order. She’s heard doctors say that to her 2 other times and both times the Lord delivered, so she boldly believed He would do it again! Also, back in October my cousin, Lisa (my age) was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer throughout her abdominal area and lungs. I have prayed for them everyday totally believing that God was going to do an “Amazing Wonder” in both of their lives! I specifically prayed that the Lord would “dissipate” the tumors in my aunt’s brain. That was the word the Lord gave me to use when I prayed for her. A few weeks ago, Linda went back to have scans done and the doctor told her the tumors had “dissipated!’ That was the exact word he used! Praise the Lord!! Our family was ecstatic!! That just made us all buckle down harder and pray even more intensely for Lisa’s healing!! Well, a week ago, Monday, March 19th, was the 9 year anniversary of my daddy’s death. I was up early that morning praying and feeling the twinge of sadness from missing him and reliving that day. When I had finished my quiet time, I got a call from my cousin, Tammye telling me that Lisa had just finished having a PET scan and there was no sign of cancer! Instantly I was up and dancing around the room! Then I felt the Lord say, “I have redeemed this day for you! Now on March 19th, you’ll remember your daddy, but you’ll also remember this miracle!” HE is SO GOOD!!
I pray that these stories will be an encouragement to you today to believe for the BIG things!! NOTHING is too difficult for HIM!!!
