A Letter from Camp
Hey you guys,
I am writing to you from Centri-Kid Camp at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee!
There are about 800 people here this week and we are having a BLAST!
I love getting to be a part of this week long camp that helps kids understand what God has for them in their lives. We try to make His truth come to life for them in a meaningful and exciting way.
This week we are talking about God’s provision in our lives… that He provides forgiveness, He provides a calling on our lives, and He provides enough! It has been so awesome to get to delve into these topics during worship.
Part of what I do here is to lead campers and adults in worship each morning and evening.
But the bigger part of what I do is build relationships with the kids who come to Camp!
I love getting to sit and eat meals with them, hearing stories about their families and things they are going through… and the hugs and sweet notes about what the Lord has done in their lives keep me coming back year after year!
I’ve been doing camp at Lee University for 12 years now, and each year I learn more and more, too! God always has some good lessons for me about trusting Him and relying on His provision!
This week I had to trust in His provision to get my sister, Carla through another major surgery. This is her 3rd one within a year, but once again He delivered her through! Thank You, Jesus!
So far this week tons of kids have given their lives to Christ! So many have told me or written notes saying that they felt God for the first time in their lives.
Tonight we had an explosive time of worship! Kids were coming to the altar to pray and make decisions before the invitation was even given. It’s so beautiful to witness the innocent way in which they obey the Lord’s leading and come. I pray for more Lord, MORE!!!
Wish you were here with me! I promise to write more later…
By the way… the Slaughter Salon was a HUUUUUUGE success today. It’s a “Dolla a Do” and we raised $300 for the missions offering!
