A Letter from Camp

Hey you guys,

I am writing to you from Centri-Kid Camp at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee!

There are about 800 people here this week and we are having a BLAST!

I love getting to be a part of this week long camp that helps kids understand what God has for them in their lives. We try to make His truth come to life for them in a meaningful and exciting way.

This week we are talking about God’s provision in our lives… that He provides forgiveness, He provides a calling on our lives, and He provides enough! It has been so awesome to get to delve into these topics during worship.

Part of what I do here is to lead campers and adults in worship each morning and evening.

But the bigger part of what I do is build relationships with the kids who come to Camp!

I love getting to sit and eat meals with them, hearing stories about their families and things they are going through… and the hugs and sweet notes about what the Lord has done in their lives keep me coming back year after year!

I’ve been doing camp at Lee University for 12 years now, and each year I learn more and more, too! God always has some good lessons for me about trusting Him and relying on His provision!

This week I had to trust in His provision to get my sister, Carla through another major surgery. This is her 3rd one within a year, but once again He delivered her through! Thank You, Jesus!

So far this week tons of kids have given their lives to Christ! So many have told me or written notes saying that they felt God for the first time in their lives.

Tonight we had an explosive time of worship! Kids were coming to the altar to pray and make decisions before the invitation was even given. It’s so beautiful to witness the innocent way in which they obey the Lord’s leading and come. I pray for more Lord, MORE!!!

Wish you were here with me! I promise to write more later…

By the way… the Slaughter Salon was a HUUUUUUGE success today. It’s a “Dolla a Do” and we raised $300 for the missions offering!

Again, you rock, Jeff! God continues to say, “Yes,” and “Amen” to the kingdom work you are a part of in summer camp! More anointing and stamina to you!

I am so glad that there is a person like you who takes time to really listen to the children. We really need more Godly men like you who really want to be involved in children’s lives. May God richly bless you for doing His will.

What a blessing you were to me this week at Lee University. I haven’t felt the Holy Spirit move through music in a LONG time. Thank you for helping this happen through your music. This was my first time meeting you and my first time at Centri Kids. It was amazing for me and I thank the Lord that my daughter is at home now singing “It’s All True”. What a beautiful thing to bring home from camp! Bless you and your ministry for all you do to spread the word of Jesus Christ! Hoping you can visit New Salem Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia one day! Take care!
