Can’t Stop These Shoes in Dumas!
On Saturday morning my band guys and I took off for Dumas, AR to do a “Can’t Stop These Shoes” concert.
When we got to Memphis I had our bus driver, Marvin, drop me off at Baptist East Hospital to visit with my Aunt Linda while the rest of the guys went to grab lunch. Read more about God’s faithfulness to my Aunt Linda here…
She was doing great. (She will actually be released to go home today! Praise God!)
The drive from Memphis to Dumas was heartbreaking… the devastation from all the flooding was overwhelming! Please be praying for that area.
The concert went great! The kids there were so fun and engaged during the worship time. I was blessed to see their passion and boldness.
Sunday morning we led worship, and then the kids performed the “Big Apple Adventure” musical. They did GREAT! Afterwards the church had a cookout for us, and we hit the road back to Nashville.
Since most of the events I do through the winter and spring I do alone, it was a treat to get to travel with my band.
Here are a few comments from the weekend…
Judy Gardner Champ wrote “Saturday night was really good… a wonderful praise/worship time! It was great to see you! May God continue to bless you”
Bruce Clark wrote “Jeff, It was great to have you and the band in Dumas, AR. this weekend. We have already started talking about next year. You touched so many many people this weekend in our church, now it’s our job to keep the fire burning.”
Jerrison Edwards wrote “You did GREAT tonight in Dumas!”
