What’s New…
Hey you guys!!! Welcome to the new and improved version of the website!! It’s been a loooong time coming!! I’m so grateful for the team that helped make it happen…Mollie Durbin for the new design and coding, Jeff Arnold for the EPK’s and the “By Faith” music video and Amanda Boyd for the EPK graphics. I’m so blessed to be surrounded by such amazingly gifted friends!! You’ll also notice there’s some new music available. I recorded…and am still in the process of recording…a new project this year. It’s been such a sweet gift from the Lord. I’m working with Preston and Spencer Dalton (producers) and we’ve been having a BLAST!!! Hope you enjoy!!!
Today I turned in the VBS songs for 2012!!! Hard to believe when we just premiered the 2011 music last week at the LifeWay Kids Conference in Birmingham, but we have to start this early to get everything done. It’s always a sweet time to spend with the Lord trying to discern His heart for the group of songs.
Thought I might give you a little background on the “By Faith” music video. I wrote this song last fall sitting beside my mama’s hospital bed while she was fighting pancreatic cancer. This was the first song I wrote for 2011′s “Big Apple Adventure: Where Faith and Life Connect.” I couldn’t believe the theme when I first it heard because that was exactly where my heart was at the time…desperately connecting my faith with my life. I actually found out what the theme was the day my mama was diagnosed! She passed away on Christmas day last year and throughout the past months the Lord has used this song to encourage my heart many times. In August, my buddy Jeff Arnold and I flew to NYC to shoot a video for the song. We had such favor the whole time we were there!! In the 3 days we were there, we got 10 hours of sleep, but it was so much fun!! The biggest miracle was that we shot in 21 different locations and found a perfect parking place 21 times!!! FAVOR!!! (-: I’d like to thank David Watson for assisting Jeff A., Dani Zak for the hair and make-up and Bill Freda for playing the role of road manager for the weekend. I’m so excited with how it turned out. This video as well as all the music for VBS 2011 is dedicated to my mother, Elinor Ruth Pinion Slaughter.
