Under God, official release October 15!
8 days until the official release of my new CD, Under God! Of course, those who already have it, there was a “soft” launch, but my hope is to have everyone and their brother download it on itunes on the same day, making the CD hit the itunes charts! So, keep your eyes peeled for the announcement and then share it on Facebook! (I knew I could count on you!)
Listen, I have been loving being in the music industry for 27 (Um, yes. 27. Don’t do the math!) years and singing, laughing and dancing with kids. It’s my heart! I want to train them to love God’s word and to declare it with their lips. This CD has a lot of songs about loving God’s word and being in God’s word.
Inspiration for this CD came from personal situations and my passion and heart has come through. Let me tell you about my favorite songs (Of course, I love them all, but these are my personal darlings):
“The Word”: I love to write songs about God’s word and I realized I hadn’t written a song just about God’s word. That is where this song came in. We want to just soak in God’s word, don’t we?“Under God”: I wrote Under God with the co-producers of the record. We wrote about how so many people are trying to take God out of our country. We have pieces of the preamble and constitution and have quotes from JFK and Ronald Reagan. I am so proud to have this on the record.“In Your Power”: This one really was God inspired and knew that the Lord whispered the lyrics to me. It doesn’t happen often but let me tell you it was beautiful, and I needed it!
Again, I’m thrilled to enter this new season of life, making music for not only kids, but also families and my own heart. Okay, my brothers and sisters, help me make this project go viral!
