Old Home Week
That’s a phrase my Mama used to describe reconnecting with long time or “old friends”! Friends that feel like “home.”
Well, I have been having “old home week” at the LifeWay Kids Conference all week. What a blessing to see people you have partnered with in ministry for so many years. To remember and reflect on all the amazing things you have seen the Lord do… together!
I was also excited to make a lot of new friends as well. My class on Monday was so much fun! It was packed full of incredible people who were ready to rock it!
My desire is for a class like that to feel more like a worship time than a training time, and that’s exactly what it was. We spent two hours celebrating God’s awesome power and declaring His power over our lives!
On Tuesday we had a flash mob performance of the Amazing Wonders Aviation Theme Song before the general session started. It was so great!
That night I drove to New Albany, MS to perform with my Aunt Linda for a breast cancer awareness luncheon. She gave her testimony and we played and sang to a packed house.
She was such an inspiration to the ladies, many of whom were cancer survivors. There were also many there just beginning their journey into treatment.
Linda had them all belly laughing as she recounted her journey and shared some of her secrets to beating stage 4 breast cancer TWO times: to keep laughing and stay positive! She gave all glory to the Lord for His awesome power and faithfulness.
That’s been the theme of this week!
