Fall Is Here!

I looooove fall! This morning it’s about 60 degrees in Nashville … perfect! I had a chance to sit on the front porch for a while and take it all in.

Thank You, Lord for changing seasons, for new beginnings … and for the harvest time!

My good friend, Andrew, texted me these verses yesterday, and I want to encourage you with them as well. These words were like water to my soul:

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.” Isaiah 43:18-21

This past weekend I did a weekend worship event at FBC Ft. Meade, FL near Orlando. My buddies, Andrew and Mark, went with me to take care of sound and merch stuff and we had a blast!

There are some serious VBS veterans at this church!

Saturday night we had a dinner that paid tribute to the past 15 years of VBS. Each table was decorated with a theme from each year.

That night one of my friends there, Audrey, who is in her early 70s, got up and rapped “Why Don’t You” from Big Apple Adventure with me. That will go on my life list of “Most Favorite Moments Ever!” Haha! That was a definite “first” for me. And she ROCKED it!

I was so blessed and inspired by the people I met there. One man, Kevin, blew me away with his story of overcoming adversity and the way he lives out his faith.

As I sang “It’s All True” one night I looked at him and I could hear the Lord whisper to me that this man’s life truly is a testimony – no matter what we go through … It’s All True!

Next Monday I will be leading a VBS class at the LifeWay Kids Conference. I know many of you will be there and I can’t wait to see you!
