Can’t Stop These Shoes? Say What??

God’s Word says we should “walk with” Him. Jesus asked the disciples to follow Him. And most us are familiar with the verse “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

The Bible has a lot to say about our feet!

Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, God’s Word is a light to our feet, and He keeps our feet from stumbling on the path.

When I went to New York to shoot my music video for my song “By Faith,” good friend and producer/director of the video, Jeff Arnold, and I decided since we were focusing on walking by faith my feet really needed to “pop”!

We were walking to our hotel the night before the shoot was to start when we passed a store and saw some yellow shoes in the window. Jeff A. said, “There they are! You gotta wear those shoes!”

Once the video came out, I started getting tons of comments about the yellow shoes and it has been sweet to fill people in on the concept the Lord gave us. Through the past year, these shoes have been a good reminder for me to stay focused on what my feet are doing.

I know I want them moving and doing God’s work. I want them to be on God’s path, used in His way, all the time. So I’ve adopted the phrase, “Can’t Stop These Shoes.”

And now we even have Can’t Stop These Shoes T-shirts with the infamous yellow shoes on them, so you can wear my shoes as a reminder, too!

Ephesians 6:15 says “Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet.” And I don’t want anything stopping those shoes!
